Court disputes with NDR resolved – NDR apologises

The legal disputes between Ecolog and the NDR concerning the NDR reporting on 10 December 2009 and 26 February 2010 have been resolved.

The NDR had made false and defamatory claims in the context of reports on NATO or Bundeswehr orders to Ecolog AG, claims which were the subject of prohibitions issued by German courts. The NDR has now finally accepted all court prohibitions imposed on it and has undertaken not to repeat the claims made as well as to delete earlier reports.

In addition, the NDR has sent personal letters to Ecolog and the family of the company founder Destani expressing its regret. The letter reads: "If this report has created a suspicion of illegal actions by the company Ecolog or your family, this is a matter of regret for the Norddeutscher Rundfunk, the employees and editors involved."
