On Friday, 2 December 2005, the new container village for the Hungarian ISAF Task Force in Camp Warehouse, Kabul, Afghanistan was inaugurated. General Nagy, Commander of the Hungarian ISAF unit, as well as General Graciano and General Lidsba, the Commanders of the German and Italian ISAF Task Forces, celebrated together with numerous ISAF units and Ecolog employees. And there were indeed good reasons to celebrate: for the Hungarian Armed Forces that they had got a solid roof to live under, and for the Ecolog employees that they had finished a complete container village in record time. It had only been on 25 Sep. 2005 that the contract had been signed.
Ecolog had won the extensive contract against heavy competition. And deserved it - as was finally seen. The Ecolog staff professionally built a completely equipped container village very short-term: 70 units with living, sleeping, office, shower, and toilet containers in only 5 (five) weeks! Two-storied and with all comfort: from individual interior equipment via electrical installation to sewage and waste disposal. The Hungarian soldiers even do not have to do without running warm water. If container building ever becomes an Olympic discipline, it is certain already now who the winner will be: Ecolog.
However, we do not want to win the Olympic games - our competition target: a solid roof of their own for all armed forces on international deployment - with all necessary equipment and services. This is the least, soldiers of all nations deserve when they put their lives at stake every day. We have approached this target a little bit more with the inauguration of the Hungarian container village last Friday.
Again another unit on international deployment which we know to be well provided. In the known Ecolog-quality. Because on the final acceptance of the container village by the responsible civilian construction engineer of the Hungarian Task Force, we got again the certificate: 100% quality for construction execution.
General Nagy as well as Colonel Jozsef Tokovicz, the responsible contracting officer of the Hungarian Task Force in Kabul, expressed this clearly in their speeches: A salute for Ecolog". Our customers benefit from our regular and careful internal quality checks.
