Logistics is more than just transport. Visitors and participants of the 4th Congress on European Defence, which took place in Berlin on 28/29 Nov. 2005, could convince themselves of this.
For the first time, Ecolog AG presented itself at one of the best known congresses for Security and Defence Policies in Germany.
This decisive congress is a meeting point for numerous European ministers of defence, for politicians, representatives of national parliaments and the European Parliament as well as for high-ranking members of European armed forces and representatives of industry and economy; about 1,500 participants assembled.
The company was present in the discussion forum as well as with a booth. Ecolog AG provides comprehensive logistical services to armed forces on international deployment, in the meantime with a staff of more than 1,500 employees for military personnel in more than 100 locations.
The company's wide range of services arouse great interest among the fair and congress participants. The interest grew even more after the presentation of the company's new image film and a speech held in the forum. With mobile toilets, waste management, waste water disposal, containers, catering, laundry services, cleaning, supply, fuel, construction, logistics, communication and special services, Ecolog provides all essential infrastructural services from one source.
CONDO - contracting on deployment - the outsourcing of logistic and infrastructure support to private service providers has proven to be a very obvious advantage for military forces in terms of money and efficiency. During overseas deployments there is hardly any option to private-public-partnerships.
A lot of visitors asked for details at the Ecolog-booth, members of armed forces of different nations, important decision-makers of military procurement institutions, ministries and of the European Parliament. Relevant contacts have been made.
Among the armed forces, Ecolog is long since no longer an insider's tip. The company cares for the armed forces of numerous nations all over the world. The high quality of the services provided is well-known. In one of the plenty of references the company has received over the years, in April 2005, e.g. the British Forces thanked for the outstanding support during Operation Telic in Iraq. Amongst others a brand new laundry complete with conservancy requirements for over thousand personnel was setup and operational within only 6 days to a new location called Camp Smitty.
At the fair, the logistics and infrastructure service provider announced the further expansion of its service Catering. In this connection, Ralf-Jürgen Roßbach has recently joined the Ecolog team as the new Chef Food & Beverages. For many years, Ralf-Jürgen Roßbach was the chef of the Hilton Hotel in Düsseldorf and the profiled Catering Manager of Rheinkultur GmbH.
